Christmas Crafting

Fa la la! There are some things about the holiday season that I always enjoy. Actually lots of things but one of the big ones is creating gifts for my friends and family. This year I think there will be even more of that as it can be pretty cost effective too.

My sister and I have scheduled several "crafting" days with my mom. That is where I am headed today so if you don't see me when you stop by to visit today...that's where I am. I have lots of projects going around my house but here are a couple of things we are working on today. One is a fabric covered clothesline bag and the other is a set of fabric bowls. They are beautiful and I think will make some nice gifts.

I'll be posting pictures when we are finished and I'll be visiting later this afternoon.

Love the bags. Great color choices. I wish I had a sister close by to have crafting days with. Enjoy!

What a great time I'm sure you're all having and can't wait to see your finished items. I sure wish I was handy at making things sure would save a lot of money, but I don't think the grand kids would be very appreciative of those type things.

I love doing home made gifts. Less expensive and lots of fun making them. Can't wait to see your pictures. Love the ones you have here.

Looking forward to seeing your projects!

I used to be more creative when it came to gifts. Not so much needlwork stuff but I used to make calendars and cards, using photos and Photoshop. I don't know why I don't do that anymore . . .

I would like to find the directions to that clothesline bag, I have the clothesline 100ft of it all covered and ready to go. Is there a website with directions that are free?

Since had absolutely NO domestic or craft-like skills I am always amazed at the stuff other people make - it's magic to me. I like the idea of the fabric bowls - I like things I can put other things in...

Very smart way to go. Not only do they make an excellent gift, but each one has been made by you and therefore it took time for you to do each one. That is something you just can't buy at Walmarts :-)

I wish I had the time, I live vicariously through Martha Stewart. Sad, huh?

I'm squishing my holiday crafts in here and there (between work and custom orders for my Etsy shop). I love the bag, it's beautiful!

I have always wished I was creative and crafty and could make things. But sadly I cannot. I'm glad you can! Love the bag!

Handmade gifts are the best. Can't wait to see how yours turn out!

That must be fun making those. I always remember things like that when they are given to me. That's the best part of it.
