Kids Say The Darndest Things!

A first grade girl handed in this drawing for a homework assignment. After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note for the teacher:

Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This drawing is of me selling a shovel.

Never saw this before and glad you shared it. It made me chuckle because I actually thought it was a shovel when I saw it and her kids were giving her money. After I read the note I cracked up.

Having worked in an Elementary School, you cannot believe some of the things these kids tell teachers (and you probably don't want to know, either :o) Thanks for sharing this; what a hoot!

OMG ~ that was too cute! We have a friend who sits with us at all the W&M basketball games and when his son was little, he used to say he that when he grew up he wanted to be one of those guys that got to hold the cheerleaders up in the air!! Kids say and do the darnedest things, don't they??!! Happy Monday too all!
